In an update published on 14 April 2022, Capriole reported that 65% of the total construction works at LINX Tower had been completed in under a year. LINX Tower is in the MU23 commercial district of the New Administrative Capital and is developed by Capriole Developments.

Finishing works under way

At the time of the update, work on site had moved into the finishing and final phases of construction. These included the electromechanical works, which cover the building’s mechanical and electrical systems, and the façade works.

The company said it had kept up the pace of construction despite frequent rises and fluctuations in the price of raw materials during that period.

Building before selling

The update also restated Capriole’s approach of building before selling. A considerable share of the works had been completed before any units were offered, and the project was only publicised once more than 30% of construction was done. Our October 2021 update describes how sales opened after 35% of construction was complete.

A second phase

Capriole also said at the time that it planned to begin a second phase of the LINX Tower project after the Eid El Fitr holiday in 2022. The update did not set out the scope of that phase, and plans may have changed since.
